New OCZ Hydroflow CPU block - available from www.aqua-pcs.co.uk

OCZ have released their new Hydroflow CPU block. This is OCZ's first CPU block but judging by the amount of extreme cooling hardware such as the Flex RAM modules and the upcoming Cryo-Z phase change cooler, the company certainly seems to be moving to compete with the big guns of watercooling.

The block looks quite stunning although the clear acrylic top we saw a few months back has been replaced with a black nylon top. Compatibility is pretty much universal with socket 775, and AMD's AM2, 939, 940 and 754 all catered for.

Performance? Well Martin has got his mits on it over at www.martinsliquidlab.com and it's looking good! It has the lowest restriction of nearly any block out there although performance suffers as a result by a few degrees compared to the likes of the GTZ and V2.

Internally it's just as stunning as outside with triangular pins covering the baseplate

Martin has given a thumbs up to the mounting mechanism too with screws that bottom out to give an equal sit - something that has become increasingly popular and with good reason - it works!!!!

You'll also be able to fit those pesky giant 1/2" compression barbs too - plenty of room!

The OCZ Hydroflow is available exclusively from www.aqua-pcs.co.uk for a very reasonable £23.99 ex vat - a bargain given it's low restriction and ease of installation.

More info on the block itself over at www.ocztechnology.com
