23/08/08 XSPC discontinues Edge Waterblock
XSPC Edge In a somewhat surprising announcement, XSPC have stated that their relatively new Edge waterblock has been discontinued. The reason for this is apparently production issues which might be anything from parts availability to cost of production. 'After a very short product life we are now moving on from the Edge CPU block design, due to production issues we could not manufacture the block in sufficient quantity. To replace the Edge were now working hard on our new block the Delta V3 which should be released before the end of August. We will post some details of the block as we get closer to release.' This is a shame as the block was becoming increasingly popular and performed well over at www.martinsliquidlab.com and was relatively cheap. As per the statement above, XSPC are working a new block, the Delta V3 although from the design it looks little more than a revamped Delta V2. XSPC's full cover GPU blocks are top notch as are most of their radiators. Lets hope the Delta V3 isn't resigned to the bargain bin.
